Get to Know The Area

Little Britain is a community in Kawartha Lakes located 15km (North of Port Perry) or 15 km southwest of Lindsay, Ontario. Don’t let the name fool you, there’s nothing “little” about Little Britain, it covers a large area (K0M 2C0). Neighbouring communities include Sonya, Pleasant Point, Ball Point, Port Hoover, Washburn Island, and Valentia. While there are agricultural and farming operations, the majority of people living in this area are families, early retirees, and first-time home buyers. The town generates a fair amount of tourism due to cottagers and drivers detouring from Highway 7. Expect a tight-knit community with a surprising number of amenities and an active, hard-working population. Little Britain real estate is home to a lot of commuters travelling to York Region (an easy 50km commute), travelling south to Durham Region (30-40 km), and to Scarborough or Toronto, which is an easy 60-70 km drive (just by taking back routes).
