Known as the houseboat capital of Ontario, both tourists and residents alike enjoy house boating on the serene, 386-km Trent-Severn Waterway. With a number of places to stop and enjoy local food and community events, it’s a great way to spend a weekend or a vacation.

   

What To Do Here

Check out the Kawartha Lakes Arts and Heritage Trail, showcasing the unique talent and heritage of the area. Stop by the Kawartha Art Gallery or the Station Gallery in Fenelon Falls. Visit one of the best birding spots in Ontario (the Carden Plain). Tour a maple syrup farm or visit one of the many sandbars on the water. Or play a round of golf on one of Kawartha's fifteen different courses. So much to see and do all year around.
