2) Purple Woods Maple Syrup Festival  

Purple WoodsFor the LOVE of “real” maple syrup on homemade baked pancakes…  ( Extra syrup for me, please!). The festival starts Saturday of the March Break – March 12th to 20th.    It is important to note – you do need to purchase your tickets in advance online.   click the link to purchase the tickets.

See how maple syrup was made over 400 years ago through to the modern methods of today, take a horse-drawn wagon ride and enjoy some hot pancakes.

3) Scugog Public Skating – Schedule

There’s also various other recreation centres in Oshawa offering March Break activities like at the Legend Center Fun Swim – click here to view the Fun Swim schedule

4) The Francophone Community of Durham Region –  COFRD Conseil Francophones de la Région de Durham  is offering a FREE  Art camp in French, children would need to be able to communicate in french to be able to enrol in the program.   The art camp will be held at 384 Hillside Ave. in Oshawa next door to Ecole Corpus-Christie.   Tel: 905-434-7676

Last, we can’t forget the 7th annual Easter Bonnet Contest Parade happening on Easter Sunday, March 27th.   This is a family favourite for all ages.   Where you will see beautiful handmade creative bonnets from the cutest to the wackiest to the most likely to cause a traffic accident.     So get your creative thinking cap on and start planning and create your bonnet today and join in on the fun.

Registration starts at 11:30am at the tent across from RBC.   * This is a free-will donation, all proceeds go to The Scugog Memorial Library.
